Bolt On Injection Molding Unit

The "Krauss-Maffei KM/750 Bolt On L" provides the Fraunhofer Project Center Wolfsburg with a mobile and flexible injection molding unit that can be combined with the presses of the Open Hybrid LabFactory.

Thanks to the height adjustment, the injection molding unit can be easily adapted to the different mold and press heights. The injection volume of 750 cm³ also allows the production of large components. The system can also be used for thermoplastics with fillers of over 25% so that fiber-reinforced thermoplastics can also be used.

Additional software can also be used to analyze and improve the process parameters or create a life cycle assessment (LCA) for the manufactured components.
